50% of women are at risk for heart disease, just because you are female. If you had chemo or left side radiation, your risk is greater than 50%.

February is heart awareness month for women and heart disease, but like every other kind of screening, it is important to raise awareness about these types of things everyday and not just during the awareness month.

If you answered no, get one. Everyone should have a cardiologist, especially if you have had treatments that may have longer term effects on your heart or if you take meds for cholesterol or high blood pressure. General practitioners are great, but let the specialist treat your specialist conditions. It is what they are experts in. Benefit from that expertise.
