Cancer Truth Note: #115

It is ok to have a bad day or be mad or frustrated or scared.

Sometimes we just need a down day to throw a pity party or be able to vent frustrations without someone trying to fix it. I have been known to start vents like that by saying… “I just need to vent about this, I don’t want you to try to fix it.” It is just not true to say that I have not been all of these things when it comes to cancer treatment and survivorship. Sometimes it seems to come out of left field. One thing I have learned is that sometimes I just need to take a day and release myself from all of my responsibilities. Whether I binge something on tv while knitting or read a book or go for a long walk with Charles and the dogs, taking some time away from daily grind can help reset my perspective.

How do you navigate the tougher times?
