Cancer Truth Note: #120

by | Apr 1, 2023 | Cancer Truth Note

After treatment or surgery we may have setbacks. Remember to focus on how you are moving forward and not the obstacles being dropped in your path. There is always going to be an obstacle. After you dust off, how you navigate the obstacles is how you shine.

It is important to remember that healing is exhausting. When you get to the otherside of healing there may be unexpected obstacles.

You may remember cancer truth note 106 where I shared about mornings being my enemy. That was an obstacle that took me by surprise. It also required adjustments to my schedule, because it did not go away.

I could have tried to push through. I could have just sucked it up and suffered through. Going to networking meetings where I looked green through half the meeting definitely wasn’t serving me or my business. Changing my schedule gave me the space to be at my best when working with clients and meeting new people, creating a better situation all the way around. I was fortunate. As a business owner I could make the changes I needed to without anyone else’s approval. Facing challenges creatively is another time you need to advocate for yourself, by showing how making changes will benefit others.

Have you encountered a challenge that required you to get outside the box with the solution? Did that present another challenge?
