Cancer Truth Note: #126
Supportive significant others are worth their weight in gold.
Truth! I am fortunate. I have a significant other who is supportive and picks up my slack when I need help.
I know this is not always true for people. When the significant person in our life is less than helpful or makes us feel like we need to do more than we should, setbacks can happen.
Now don’t get me wrong here. I know caregivers can be overwhelmed when chores get doubled. When we are used to sharing the load and then have to do it all, it can be a lot. So it might not be all sunshine and fluffy kitty cats. And that is ok too.
Have you had a great support person experience or maybe an experience that showed you a change might be good?
