Chemotherapy does not always cause weight loss, sometimes it causes weight gain. 

In 2023, doctors tell breast cancer patients the chemo causes weight gain. At least I hope they do. If they didn’t and it was a surprise, definitely drop it in the comments.

This wasn’t always the case and it is the type of thing we need to know. We need to not eat all the comfort food people bring us and be intentional with our nutrition and movement to the best of our abilities. Especially since it is sooo challenging to lose weight once your hormones are impacted.

Most people think chemo causes people to lose weight, it is ok to tell them if that might not be the case for you. Perhaps they will bring fewer cookies.
