Cancer Truth Note: #148

Unusual emotional responses to everyday situations may be a sign of depression or another condition entirely.

I know many people who have experienced this differently.

Remember feeling all the feelings is a good thing.

Sometimes it takes us time to do that. Also ok.

If you notice, or a friend or family member notices, that you are having emotional responses to seemingly unimportant things or reacting to an everyday situation in a way that seems generally out of character for you there may be something else going on.

Depression, post traumatic stress, and other conditions can show up in this way.

Sometimes we cannot see it ourselves, but a trusted friend or family member may be able to see it. If this comes up, asking for help from your medical team may be beneficial.

What have you put a voice to and found unexpected answers that helped?
