Asking for help is necessary for mental health.

Whether navigating a diagnosis, treatment, or the unavoidable new normal of survivorship, asking for help and being open to receiving it is important for maintaining good mental help. We all need help sometimes. Asking for help might look like hiring a house cleaner or if you are in treatment using a cleaning service like cleaning for a reason, so you can have a clean house without all the time and effort it would take you to do all the work. Maybe you ask a friend to walk your dog with you a couple times a week, because your dog is strong, and you are not sure you can do it on your own. Having a friend join you might translate to better mental health because you know your dog is getting the exercise they need and you are going outside in nature with another human to get some exercise as well, knowing that you are not alone. When we receive help, we know we are not alone and that can make a big difference in your day. What can you receive help with today?
